What information do we collect from children and how do we collect it?

ellusionist® collects personally identifiable information provided by its customers when they sign up for services or buy products. The only personally identifiable information we collect from your child is what is voluntarily provided to us. If you do not choose to consent to your child’s providing information to us, your child’s visit to the Site will not provide us with information by which we could personally identify him or her. With your permission, we will collect your child’s contact information (e.g., name and e-mail address), and if your child buys products from us, we will collect the credit card number and expiration date of the credit card used for the purpose. Ellusionist® will not collect or retain any personal information from a child under the age of 13 until we receive a signed parental consent form.

How do we protect information about children?

At every point on our site when a visitor to our site is asked to provide personal information, the visitor is informed that information will not be accepted from a child under the age of 13 unless the child’s parent or guardian signs a consent form. Registration information submitted by a child's parent cannot be modified except through submission of a modified parental consent form or other written request. All such information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons and contractors who have special access rights to such systems. All contractors have agreed to keep this information confidential.

How do we use information about children?

ellusionist® will use your child’s personally identifiable information to fulfill orders if your child is authorized to enter into credit card transactions and to contact him or her when reasonably necessary. ellusionist® may also use any information you have entered into the website as reasonably necessary to administer or provide customer support for the website. In addition, ellusionist® may periodically send your child electronic correspondence with magic information, news and tricks, unless your child has opted out of that feature of our web site.

For our customers’ convenience, our web site provides links to certain third party websites or referrals to certain third parties’ products or services. Please be aware that the third party’s privacy policy, and not ellusionist®’s, will govern your activities and any information you disclose while interacting with the third party.

A parent's consent to our collection and use of personal information about a child will never be treated as a consent to disclosure of that information to third parties. The term "third party" does not include web site hosting partners, data storage and processing facilities, order processing services and other parties who assist us in operating our web site, as long as such parties have signed contracts with us obligating them to keep customer data confidential and to use it only as reasonably necessary to fulfill their contracts with ellusionist®. ellusionist® may also disclose your child’s personally identifiable information as it believes is reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation or other governmental authority. Finally, ellusionist® may disclose your personally identifiable information upon a transfer or sale to another entity of all or substantially all of ellusionist®’s assets.

We are prohibited from conditioning a child's participation in an activity or contest on the disclosure of any more personal information than is reasonably necessary to allow the child to participate in that activity.

How can parents review their child's personal information and prevent its use or disclosure?

We will delete personal information about a child upon receipt of a written request from the parent or guardian who initially submitted such information. In the event of such a request, we will retain only information necessary for record keeping in connection with past transactions.

Parents who submitted personal information about their children may also submit a signed written request to review or modify the information about their children. Before disclosing information about a child, we may request that the parent provide reasonable information about the parent for identification purposes, such as the parent's name, address, phone number, credit card number, or other information.
